Been lazy about posting this since I read about it a few days ago… Everybody’s Golf World Tour and Hot Shots Golf Out of Bounds online service will be ending on Oct 31st 2013… Timing seems about right in accordance to the PlayStation 3 release of Everybody’s Golf 6.
Trivia… did you know that the servers are the same for the login server is the same for both versions of the game? So they are really just shutting down the grade tour and leaderboard servers. Though it will be Halloween for some when the servers are shut down, is there people who would like me to stream the last day of Everybody’s Golf World Tour Online?
Envisager made a post about it over at the Community Forums.

Community Manager Envisager [Chris Owen] will be organising a launch night event for Everybody’s Golf 6 release onto the PlayStation 3.
Those planning to buy the game straight away as it releases to the PlayStation Network can participate in the event. Details can be found at the Everybody’s Golf community forums.

Looks like the wait is over for all those wanting to play Everybody’s Hot Shots Golf World Invitational on the PlayStation 3… Other than being tipped off by Envisager over the last couple of days, we all knew it was going to release some time in these couple of months… Just now PlayStation Blogs of Europe and US have both posted and confirmed a release date which is expected early next week.
I’ll just leave the links here and you guys can go read about it there… I would like to see how the “Regular Updates” DLC will play out in the coming months. 😛
Let’s do a little FAQ for the game that doesn’t seem to be addressed on the blogs…

Thanks for the link DarkStar, I missed this today since I was looking for the Hot Shots Golf version… No clue why it isn’t officially being released by Sony or PlayStation YouTube Channels.
What’s the deal with the music…? Is there something that always must be changed during localisation? Anyone else have a problem with the music used in the Japanese version or the names of the original characters?
So while we are on about E3 2013. What did everyone think of it? Glad you’re part of the PlayStation Community? Of course we have no choice if we follow the course that is Minna no Golf. Sure Minna no Golf 7 was not announced, but there was no way it would have been. Largely this is due to the fact that Minna no Golf 6 for PS3 has not been localised and released yet, still I don’t exactly know why it would take that long to localise since most things are already localised on the PSVita.
To be anywhere close to a Minna no Golf 7 announcement, it would be towards the release of the PS4 or at Tokyo Game Show. Also it might not be this year as usually the minimum turn around for a Minna no Golf game is around 2 years, some exceptions are if you include spinoffs and portable releases. I would like to see a Minna no Tennis Online or something in the near future though as they might need to take a break and check what they are doing to their series in the last few iterations.
Looks to me they have finally got around to updating the store… Details from the blog point out the costs to purchase the Downloadable Content and it looks to be that each character will cost $0.99, with the courses going for $2.99 apiece. You’ll be able to grab the whole set for $11.99 and PlayStation Plus members will get 25% off that price which is $8.99.
Prices will vary for other regions but this is the update/news for Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational. Though for the full set that is pretty cheap compared to Japan. I guess they want you all to go back home to play…? Also not sure if I find the full set idea a good thing or not, as it makes it sound as if future updates may take even longer to come out or never come at all… sort of similar to how when a game is near it’s end they release a special update that lets you buy all the content in one shot.
Official news also points out the patch in more detail about Turn Based Challenge:
Players can now also set up 20 different parallel games at any given time. To avoid cheating, there are no re-dos, similar to Daily Tourneys. Short messages (like SMS) are also now enabled, as well as competitive score history between friends.
Additional gameplay updates include:
With the assistance of the other members we have mostly covered what has been posted… Someone up there needs to get their work together, I mean even before the update this could have been posted or even added to the Online Message during a server login.

Strange no one mentioned this until today, I guess people really aren’t logging into the lobbies… Senidol just posted this:

I’ll head back to Starcraft 2. New units are all weird compared to when I last used them in the Beta. 😛
Turn-Based Challenge Mode is what they call it… I am not sure why the original translated to Multi-Versus Mode or what I could make sense of the naming at the time… Anyway that aside, HiddenAway has offered to share the screens and some details of the new feature.

Seems like they have finally got around to updating the International version of the game but is it too late? I hear that Grade Tours are pretty hard to get going and takes a lot of organisation to set up… even so there is an update that brings some new features not even available on the Minna no Golf 6 Vita.
The new feature the update adds is the Multi-Versus Mode that was mentioned originally during the release of the Japanese version that they would be working into the system.
Anyone with me on their PSN friends list and interested in trying out the new Everybody’s Golf async mode, send away! twitter.com/HiddenAway1/st…
— HiddenAway (@HiddenAway1) March 7, 2013
Thanks to HiddenAway’s heads up and screenshot of this as I don’t have Everybody’s Golf or my PS Vita set up to play it anyway…
Along with the update comes the place holders in preparation for Download Content that has been available for Minna no Golf 6, though this patch maybe numbered lower than the Japanese version rest assured it likely is the same patch as the latest iterations. No PlayStation News has announced the DLC being available in the stores, so sit back and wait until the next PlayStation Store refresh.
Instead of adding the characters and courses one patch at a time, they have added all the characters and courses up to date in this one patch. Thus…
Update 1.05 includes:
@shihiko Screenshot of the new mode under the Online section. twitter.com/HiddenAway1/st…
— HiddenAway (@HiddenAway1) March 7, 2013
It appears in the Online Section. According to the instructions you can only play this mode with your PSN friends. So if you don’t have any, log into the lobbies and make some… Play some Grade Tours while you’re in there the servers needs you to have fun. 😛
Personal thoughts on this patch, it is nice that they are updating the game… seems it was poorly pushed out. It was as if they didn’t want us to know about it. There was no news and though the strange maintenance time was what gave it away it still doesn’t really help the main problem which is there is a lack of people playing online.
The new feature also adds to the problem by allowing people to play even though they aren’t logged into the lobbies online. Good and Bad… It’s great for Vita and 3G players just might make things worse for the Grade Touring Online community.
Also take note, the new update mentions the PlayStation 3 version in the scrolling menu text… Hint: PlayStation 3 version is coming. 😛
Finally the International version of Minna no Golf 6 is receiving the 1.04 treatment, which is the first major game changing patch for the game… the next one being 1.08 but might be another 2 or 3 months away.
Just a recap to what 1.04 brings to the game:
More information available by viewing the previous posts for Minna no Golf 6 update 1.04 or the news posts on the PlayStation Blog and Community Forums:
I wonder if these re-release versions give out the Toro Hat collection to the version that never received it? Anyway the Everybody’s Golf version information is here… still no news or don’t see the Minna no Golf 5 version, then again the maintenance is happening at this moment.
