doylev’s shot is crazy… i’m guessing no one else in the world has that shot. wouldn’t think it was even possible if i hadn’t seen it myself. your compilation video is also insane doylev… south paw to boot!

Like I said before, Doylev’s shot is extremely complicated. The pressure of the potential flyer can always mess with on’es nerves. A very interesting shot to say the least.

I’m working on getting up a better quality vid of that shot – should be ready to go in a few minutes.

Wow I didn’t even know there was shortcut on that hole doyle. Amazing.

As long as you can hit the fairway then you have an easier approach to the green…at least in my opinion! Still need a PI approach w/ SBS or SSBS or else you’ll hit the tree or hill in front of the green.

Yeah alot of other players use that route (I see Mr.Satan do it alot in our matches). I don’t see it being any useful… Both approach shots need PI. The other one just has a flatter landing location. Might be safer too but you still need to clear the trees.

Entries is supposed to close soon, but I will give it until I wake up tomorrow…

Hiya guys, i know i’ve left it almost down to the wire, but here is my entry.

You may wonder why i picked this one over my homing eagle and the spiral eagle, well that recovery gave me a podium finish which got me to G2 so its always been a memorable shot for me.

I hope you enjoy, i’ve just tagged my other shots on the end after my entry if you wish to view. and apoligies for the shakey camera, i have osteo-arthritis in my hands/arms so holding the camera for long hurts. hell even playing the game is a mission 🙂 enjoy and good luck all

I find it more useful since the approach shot can we within SBS range and also it gives a lot of landing room if you use the slopes on either side of the pin. If I played both ways 20 times, i’d eagle the normal way 4-5 times and the alternate path 8-9 times…just plays more into my style of golf.

Obviously that route is out of reach for most novice/Intermediate (std/std) players though.

Yeah. Except for Nakajima/Fernando…

Anyway… Entries closed now.

okay, i’m not taking anything away from anyone’s shots because they are all amazing, but i do have to lobby a little for my own considering it is getting no love… a PI Homing into a 5.3 head wind in australia with the hardest pin placement on that hole… plus, i have to point out it got the highest point total from a HSG5 entry… just saying:)

December 17, 2008 · Time: 6:08 am · fried_blowney

make it a 8.1 side wind and you have a winner 🙂

December 17, 2008 · Time: 6:13 am · fried_blowney

And let’s not forget I got no love from you in the entry thread. You credited someone else with my ace :P. I will concede that you made a great shot money, but is it better then the in-off the wood spiral double eagle? Hard to say. Also you say your shot got the highest point total. That’s easy considering it’s a homing shot. No other shot gives you the potential bonuses than a homing shot. Just because you have the highest total doesn’t mean it’s a better shot.

I still need you guys to vote on a shot before I release the results 😉
