Hello Everyone, this post is not related to Mingol but I guess I sometimes make these posts too…
As most of you see, this site doesn’t display advertising, generate revenue or ask for donations. It is something I do on the side while doing what I really enjoy which is Designing & Creating Games…Hence why I respond quickly and update when there is news for Mingol. Though I don’t work for ClapHanz, I do work for a small company called Shihiko Studios. 😉
Recently we released a new game called Spot This! [AppStore: Spot This Game] and we would like everyone to be able to try it and play it with their friends. Sadly it is only for the iOS systems, but if you don’t have an iOS device you could ask your friends who do to try it because it’s FREE. 🙂 [ Unlike the Lv.4 Gear Set 😛 ]
@spotthisgame 1.1 is now on the AppStore. It includes the fix for the random bug, have fun inviting your friends! SpotThis.me

Other ways you can show your support for this site and our game is to retweet or embed this tweet about the game so that other people can give the game a try. The more people who play the game the more time we can spend on improving it or working on a new game. 😀
If you would like to play the game with me you can add the Player ID “Shihiko Studios” on Game Center and I’ll accept your challenges! 😉

Exciting? Probably not when you see the price tag on these haha… So for around two weeks we have seen the new Lv.4 Clubs available but you cannot access or use them. Last week we thought they would release it but nope, nothing… This week it has been added to the PlayStation Store and the news released on the Player’s Information Site.
Each Club costs 300 JPY. So a Lv.4 set of one brand is 500 JPY at the moment… With no special discounts and potential bundles on the horizon, will people pay for all the gear available? Can you guys imagine what will happen when Lv.5 is out? 😛
Those wondering about Gear Cross-buy, as I have pointed out in previous posts that these are indeed cross-buy download contents and you can use the item on your PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita as long as you go to you download list to download it on the device that you didn’t use to purchase it.
As some of you may know, I have a decent arsenal of equipment when it comes to game capturing. During the earlier days when I first got a HD Capture device my friend mentioned that maybe I should do streaming with it… I never tried because I thought it was a waste of resources and time. Fast forward a few years, I have more equipment and the bandwidth to do it some what decent. There are many streamers for other games out there and there are also streamers for Minna no Golf in Japan.
Though Minna no Golf is not the only game I play, there is a niche where no one else is streaming it well… Since Minna no Golf 6 is not satisfying enough for me in terms of fun, I thought maybe things like playing with PlayStation Move or Streaming may improve the enjoyment of the game over all. So I have started a new site, for now it is located at Shihiko.me and if it works out well I will probably change the site. Shihiko.me was a domain I had purchased for no real reason other than it was cheap at the time.
Why didn’t I just stream to this website? Well I would have to mess with the files already available here at this site… If I then decide that it isn’t something I want to continue to do or lack of interest it is easier to shut down one site than to take apart this site.
If you would like to participate in the stream, or have suggestions and ideas for things to do to improve entertainment value or would like to be featured on the stream head over there and sign up. The current back end for the stream is using Twitch.tv so if you already have an account there feel free to follow the stream at Twitch.tv.

Starting next week 7th of May on Tuesday, the Daily Tournaments will be featuring Northern Fox Country Club Course.
It is currently Golden Week in Japan which is a weeks worth of holiday for some… Meaning those who have time should spend it working on Northern Fox and working out those holes that are tough to deal with.
If you don’t yet have the course to participate in the daily, players will have to purchase Northern Fox C.C. from the PlayStation Store in order for it to be available next week.
From Ryugagotoku/Yakuza series by SEGA comes Kiryuu Kazuma… I don’t have a PlayStation with me at the moment to check any thing indepth. Not that I am excited to do so either…
New Character Kazuma costs 500 JPY which you receive:

Since I was able to restore some of the data I lost from the wipe, I am considering to stream golfing sessions in the future… I’m not sure what people think of this, but if you like the idea or have any suggestions to improve how it works.. Let’s hear it.
Northern Fox and Kitten/Kat has been added to the PSN Store. If you already own these on the PSVita they are available for a lower price but you need to purchase it again. If you have yet to purchase it they are available also has a combo so you can buy both PSV and PS3 together.
So I have had a look at it closely. Looks like the costs seem a bit ridiculous and there might not be a point to purchasing any of it other than the course, big air ball and Kitten/Kat set. All content and prices for PS3 and PSVita.
Download Contents Cost as follows:
I would like to point out that it seems really dodgy of them to do it like this. For example the players who have already purchased Kitten/Kat are actually unable to purchase the Costume Set for 600 JPY and instead will have to pay 650 JPY to get the set. Resulting in a larger investment from their initial purchase of the content in the first place. Secondly, rather than giving us Lv.4 Ball and Club we are getting just a ball for 200 JPY each… Other than Big Air Ball, the others hardly make any difference since the game’s balance is pretty bad for all the other stats.
If you’re playing Minna no Golf 6 just for fun and plan to get the English PS3 version, you should probably only invest in Northern Fox course, Kitten/Kat and Big Air Ball… The rest would just waste your money and not really help you compete.
Also it seems the game is heading in a pretty bad direction, apart from balance issues the Asia version of the game still has no downloadable content released for it. It’s also not good if this site telling people not to buy stuff to support the game… I would have considered spending 1000 JPY for all the balls as a package, but not 200 JPY per ball. I think if they had done that it would have been easier to sell. If you can hold out long enough I bet they will offer some special downloadable content for both the Lv.4 Ball and Lv.4 Clubs that they are probably going to release later down. Note that due to balance changes the gear’s effectiveness may change: Lv.5 Gear maybe released.

Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds Complete Collection (PS3) which is the downloadable version of the PS3 title is on sale with a 64% Discount for PS Plus members (Regular Price: $24.99; PSN Sale Price: $14.99; PS Plus Price: $8.99).
I’m not sure how long the servers will be running for those games since in a couple of months or so, they will be bringing in the next version on PS3. It’s still a great deal if you either haven’t played the game or don’t care about Online or sold your physical copy awhile back but still enjoyed the game.
Looks like you only needed to participate in 3 or more days to receive the three Famitsu Ranger masks. Green, Pink and Red… Different to Minna no Golf 5 where we received Blue, White and Black.
The quick fix is 13MB and handles the bug that plagues Tornado cup freezing clients and systems on certain holes.
