Bundled into update 1.03 and 1.12 this update also includes the special Christmas Special Lobby Parts…The update is 65mb in size on the PlayStation 3 and 388mb in size on the PlayStation Vita.

Also included in the update is various bug fixes, one I would believe is the one related to challenge 4-1 where something bugs up on it.

To obtain the Christmas lobby parts you will need to login online between the dates of December 13th to the 26th.

Noticeable Changes:

  • Bug fixed Challenge 4-1 Error.
  • Tournament List now displays your Lobby Character and the courses you have at the top.
  • You can now jump tournaments at the 5 minute entry mark without waiting for the 2 minutes jump time.
  • Rounds now display the rules at the top of the screen while you are playing. [This I do not like as it is just annoying to see it when the rule is something that does not effect your game such as Hole Shuffle.]

The servers have been brought down due to a ranking calculation bug where the daily results are miscalculated and players are receiving points and records doubling up.

If you’re wondering why the server is down, that is what is going on.

Just a note to those who bought the Disc version of the game, if you are having trouble getting online make sure you have registered your Japanese account from the the special disc menu in game.

If you bought the disc you will still need a Japanese account to register your Online Ticket which is actually contained within the game disc it self… It should be an option under the XMB menu for the disc. Failure to do so will give you an error when you try to play online. I was not aware of this as I have the PS Store copy of the game, you can play the game from any account after you have registered the Japanese account to the service.

Hope this clears up any issues people are having with getting online. At least those who have the disc can receive some bonus content such as limited edition PlayStation Avatars for your PSN Account.

On another note, I have updated the guide so people who are trying to get the Crown Challenges will know what they need to do… I might do them as well because playing with the Move is just too much of a slow progression.

Well I didn’t participate in the dailies, but swimyama did his part and took the weeks tour trophy with his Vita.

Slightly more participants than the DocomoDake Events… I think DocomoDake reached around 16.7k participants in February this year, so there is a small gain with the momentum of the PlayStation 3 Release.

Here is Episode 2…? Actually not sure what to call these… Another note is I sometimes play Online with move so the points accumulated may vary between games. I will make one rule though which is I will only spend points when I reach the end of the rank and defeat the boss of the rank.

There is also another Match uploaded… If you’re more interested in matches, you can find it at my YouTube Channel. 😉

I think I’ll try make a series for this as I play through Minna no Golf 6 again on the PlayStation 3…

If you’re wondering why I’m using the PlayStation Move to do this… well there is several advantages and also several disadvantages. Some of the main advantages is that I can experience a different type of game while I unlock the single player content… while using move you gain double the points you gain playing a round normally. So other than Loyalty you get a lot more points and fun out of playing with the move without having to deal with screen lag that many HDTVs suffer from.

Rather than learn the game again on the PlayStation 3 it is much easier for me to start again from scratch with something completely new… Compared to Minna no Golf 5 this time you can play Online with the PlayStation Move and they have fixed up a few of the problems that plagued the old style. However there is also more problems that are introduced with the new style… Hopefully doing this video series I will be able to play the game better even while using the PS Move Controller.

While using the PlayStation Move there is a separate score card or profile that is recorded so that it doesn’t interfere with your controller score cards. Just to lay down some ground rules to the way I am approaching this challenge. I will do my best to keep the game play to 100% PlayStation Move and any challenges that require other shot styles I will skip and not do them unless it prevents me from completing the final challenge, in that case I will either stop the challenge there or I will use the controller to complete the challenges.

In the worst case scenarios for completing Crown Challenges, I will use Easy Mode to get past them… Hopefully I won’t have to though… These videos take awhile to upload/process as the game is now running in 1080p so the files are a lot larger and can take a good chunk of a day to get it up to YouTube. Enjoy the show of watching the fails… 😉

Just a reminder that the new PlayStation 3 version of Minna no Golf 6 will be released tomorrow. There was a few promotional videos released this week that I didn’t point out so I am putting them up now. 😛

The first one is a small introduction of the PS3 release narrated by one of the original Minna no Golf Characters “Katsu”… he mentions that he doesn’t get an appearance in this game though.

Second one is the standard classic CM for Minna no Golf series, totally messed up people taking the game seriously in the wackiest ways. 😛
